"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14
So how does a person be holy so that they will see the Lord? Certainly that holiness cannot come from what we do as we are incapable of keeping the Law of God. That holiness is not even what God has done in us but it is Christ Himself. We cannot depend upon what has been done in us even by God Himself. Our life and holiness depends entirely upon the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
