What do you love most?

Sometimes we wonder why we keep on sinning and disobeying the Lord when we feel like Paul in Romans 7? The reason is that we love our sins more than we love the Lord. If we truly loved God then not sinning would not be a problem.
When the writer of Hebrews says, "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." I am sure that he is referring to something more than just yielding again to a temptation but deliberately denying the Lord's saving grace.

None of us are perfect yet. We're still waiting for the redemption of these earthly bodies. Yes we still make wrong choices and disobey. The Hebrews quotation refers to those who "continue in sin" never forsaking the sinful lifestyle, trying to ride the fence. If we lose our salvation when we commit a sin, no one would be saved. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

When the author uses the words, "trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?" it refers to someone who deliberately denies the saving work of Christ on the cross. I am in agreement that it is far more than yielding to temptation. Thanks for your insight.
