And now ... faith!

We have completed the doctrinal section of the book of Hebrews. We have a great High Priest, we have a new covenant and we have accepted it by faith. The author reminds his readers that they have faced suffering without losing faith so now they need to persevere. We now need to keep the faith. As we live in faith we will be saved. You say we are saved already. Yes we are but our salvation is not complete until we are with our Saviour for eternity. Let us not shrink back but live by faith in the Son of God. This is a transition from the doctrinal and the warning into what it means to live by faith. Just one more thought before we talk about faith. Remember faith is not about what but about Who. Faith is not just about doctrine but it is a person. Our faith is in Jesus Christ, what He did and what He is doing.
