Pillar of truth

The wall of the Tabernacle was held up by 60 pillars. The pillars were probably of acacia wood with a silver cap and silver bars between them to keep them evenly spaced. The base of the pillar was set in a bronze base which was buried in the sand and the pillars were held up by cords attached to bronze pegs. Each of the articles speak in some way of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul tells Timothy, "If I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth." 1 Timothy 3:15 The church is to be a pillar and foundation of truth. Jesus tells us plainly in John's Gospel that His Word is truth. He also says that He is truth. The church must not abandon the Word of God which is its foundation of truth.
