Go West Young Man

The gate of the Tabernacle was on the east side so to go east from the Tabernacle would be to go away from God while to go west would be to go toward Him. When Adam and Eve were sent out of the garden the gate to the garden was on the east side and they would go east away from God's presence. Cain separated from the people of God and settled to the east.
