This blog is about what we are teaching in the adult Bible class and Sundays at Six at Gregory Drive Alliance Church of Chatham, Ontario. We have a passion for the Word of God as it reveals God. It is our desire that everyone in the class will be students of the Word.

Walking in the furnace
One of the objections to Christianity in a pluralistic society is the problem of suffering. How could a good God allow people to suffer? However in stead of an argument against Christianity it is an argument for Christianity. Rather than go into much of the argument here let's just say that furnaces will come to everyone but when they do who will be with you in the furnace? Christians face the trials the same as non-Christians except they have the assurance that God will go with them into the furnace. Yes He could snatch them out and sometimes He does but when He doesn't He is with them in the furnace. No other god does that. Our God is a suffering God, not only will He suffer with us but He has suffered for us.
