This blog is about what we are teaching in the adult Bible class and Sundays at Six at Gregory Drive Alliance Church of Chatham, Ontario. We have a passion for the Word of God as it reveals God. It is our desire that everyone in the class will be students of the Word.

Fork in the road
One of my favourite funny man, baseball players was Yogi Berra. Yogi was known for his statements which didn't make much sense. One thing he said was "If you come to a fork in the road, take it."
Many people look at the warnings in Hebrews as if they were forks in the road but they are not. There is only one road and you are either on it or you aren't. The warnings are signs to help us stay on the road.
I like how after the warning in Hebrews 6:4, the author goes on to clarify how the warning does not even apply to these believers:
"Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don't believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation." Heb 6:9 (NLT)
As Curtis pointed out to me it would seem that this warning relates to the parable of the soils. See verses 7 and 8. This appears to be a warning that does not apply to believers.
